He started as a worker, using his own hands to knot carpets. His deep interest in this field led him to establish a workplace in Hyderabad, Pakistan, where he hired workers skilled in carpet making. As demand for his work grew, so did his dream.
Understanding the need for expansion, Muhammad Saleem took a bold step. Karachi, known as the City of Lights and Pakistan’s largest commercial hub. With determination, he migrated to Karachi with his entire family. In 2000, he founded a business showroom on Abdullah Haroon Road, Central Saddar Karachi, a location that soon became a center for handmade carpet lovers. He named the business Muhammad Waseem Carpets, after his elder son, Muhammad Waseem, who also played a key role in shaping the company and is regarded as its founder.
From a small workspace to a showroom, the business managed under the leadership of Muhammad Saleem and Muhammad Waseem. Their vision was simple: to provide beautiful and durable carpets that last for years at affordable pricing. Today, MWCarpets stands as a well-known name in the handmade carpet industry, recognized for quality, honesty, and customer satisfaction.
